London Marathon 2026

I took part in the London Marathon because London is where I discovered running. I had been living there for a year during Covid-19, when running was almost the only way to stay active.

What started as an exercise quickly became something much more special, because every run also meant discovering the city through its parks, streets, and landmarks. That's when I got the idea to run a marathon - and I knew it had to be in London.

I was looking for a way to run the London Marathon for charity. I quickly came across the Youth Sport Trust, as the organisation's background and the areas it supports immediately appealed to me.

I had also worked for a similar organisation back home in Switzerland whilst I was at university, and thought it was a brilliant initiative there too. For me, it was the perfect opportunity to combine a personal goal with a good cause.
