The winners will be recognised for their activity in the fields of Physical Education, physical activity, play and school sport in the following award categories:
Young Health Champion
This award recognises a young person who has used the power of PE, Play and Sport to change lives.
This may be a young person who has improved their own physical or mental wellbeing, or someone who has led and inspired others to improve theirs. We’re looking for a young person who has shown resilience, battled adversity and shown empathy to others and recognise the impact they have made.
Inspirational Female Young Leader
We’re looking for an inspirational female young leader who is leading the charge to close the gender enjoyment and participation gap in sport.
Do you know a young person who has challenged traditional male dominated sports to be more inclusive? Or maybe championed girls' needs in PE or inspired other girls to get into and stay in sport? We want to hear their story so we can crown them our Inspirational Female Leader of the year.
Greatest Turnaround Through Sport
This award will recognise a young person who has overcome challenges and barriers to find a sense of belonging in sport.
Unfortunately, not all young people are given the same opportunities in life. Many young people are unable to reach their full potential because of the barriers that society puts in the way. We want to recognise a young person who has turned their life around and found the drive to succeed through their participation in sport and play.
Young Activist
We’re searching for a young ambassador who is a role model and leader for sport in their community.
Promoting participation in sport and advocating for healthy lifestyles amongst your peers is crucial for helping others to embed the benefits of physical activity and sport. This award will recognise a young activist who has gone above and beyond to promote sport and healthy lifestyles within their local community.
Inspirational Inclusive Young Leader
We want to celebrate a young person with special educational needs or a disability, who is engaging in sport and is an inspiration to others.
Every young person deserves to access the benefits of play and physical activity in a way that works for them. This award recognises a young person who is paving the way and breaking down barriers, inspiring others to take part in sport and physical activity. This award is open to either an individual or a group who are inspiring others.
International Young Leader (Beckwith Care)
The Beckwith Care Award celebrates a young person from outside the UK who is driving the development of their community through PE, play and Sport.
This award will celebrate an international young Changemaker and is a recognition award, chosen by Youth Sport Trust International, therefore not open for nominations.
