Fringe Event Overview
It was wonderful to see so many of you at the Youth Sport Trust Conference! Kelly has created a video to summarise the fringe session - you can watch the overview here.
Inclusive Youth Leadership Wrap Up
March marked the end of the Inclusive Youth Leadership programme this academic year. The team has really enjoyed going to some of the festivals across the country and we have found it really valuable to see how each county delivers the event, working with their athlete to create engaging activities for the young people. Listening to the Young Role Model stories has been a particular highlight, and it has been truly inspiring to hear how the opportunity has helped them grow in confidence. We have written some of the visits up into blogs which you can view on our website.
Thank you to those of you who have taken part in the programme this year and invested your time into making the sessions a success. If you would like to share any further feedback on the programme from this year, please contact [email protected].
Lead Inclusion School LinkedIn Group
As the trial of ChatPro has not been as successful as we’d hoped, we would like to propose having a dedicated LinkedIn Group as a Lead Inclusion School hub for communication! The group would be private and would allow you to share updates and connect with each other.
We would love to hear your views on this. Please answer this quick poll to either agree or disagree to trialing a LinkedIn Group.

Government launches listening exercise to inform new Youth Strategy
The Government is currently developing a new National Youth Strategy and is asking young people across England to have their say through a national listening exercise. This would be in one of two ways:
- Online survey for young people aged 10-21 (25 if SEND) which is open until the Wednesday 16 April. Any young people under 16 are required to complete the short survey with a parent/carer.
- Through a Youth Engagement Session, DCMS have produced a short session that practitioners can run as a focus group with their young people. There is a toolkit to help with this conversation and a form for practitioners to complete by Wednesday 16 April.
It would be fantastic if you could share with any young people, to ensure that the new strategy is inclusive for all young people. For more context, please visit our website.
