National School Sport Week

National School Sport Week encourages your pupils to be more active. This year on 25-29 June 2018.

National School Sport Week (NSSW) 2018 focused on schools ‘celebrating the role of play and sport in education’.

NSSW started in 2008, and this year, over 5,500 schools and 1.8 million pupils took part! You can see some of the social media highlights from 2017 here

Registration has now closed for 2018, but you can still access the resources we developed with our partners by clicking on the NSSW planning guide via the adjacent link.

This year we worked with key partners to provide themes across early years, primary, secondary and special schools as follows:

  • Early Years and Foundation Stage, Play to Develop in partnership with Entertainment One and PJ Masks. The first 500 registrations will receive stickers and wall charts.
  • Primary, Active to Learn in partnership with the BBC and the Premier League to bring you Super Movers.
  • Secondary, Fit to Achieve in partnership with The Football Association, women and girl’s participation.

*The Football Association have resources available to download across all age groups.

Next year, NSSW will take place between Monday 24 and Friday 28 June 2019.  Registration will open in May 2019.
