Our impact - workforce

In the 2015/16 academic year to date (Sep-Mar) the Youth Sport Trust’s impact in this area has been:

  • 96% of delegates rated the YST 2016 National conference as very good or good, with 89% of delegates agreeing to some or a great extent that they had gained new knowledge related to the provision of PE, Physical Activity and/or sport

  • 82% of young people who attended the 2016 Inclusive Futures Camp indicated that they are more likely to participate in volunteering in the future
  • 79% of young athletes, coaches and officials have made changes to the way they undertake their role, three months after attending the National Talent Camp

  • Teachers who attended the Sainsbury’s Inclusive PE training programme sustained a significant increase in confidence and competence 3-5 months after attending the course

  • 93% of teachers agreed the Girls Active training will help to support their role and effectiveness in engaging girls in PE and sport in school

  • 99% of teachers that attended the My Personal Best training felt that their confidence in using PE to develop pupils’ life skills had increased either a lot or a bit
