Sky Sports Living for Sport, part of Sky Academy, is a free initiative for all secondary schools that uses sports stars and the skills learnt through sport to build confidence and develop life skills in thousands of young people, and this year over 1500 schools will take part from the UK and Ireland.
Participating schools will receive free t shirts and two free visits from one of our world class Athlete Mentor team who have been selected for their ability to engage with young people through their own stories of struggle and success, including challenges they have overcome such as bullying, dyslexia, exclusion and living with a disability.
Benefits of Sky Sport Living for Sport include:
- Developing young people’s self-esteem and self-worth
- Increasing attainment and achievement
- Improving young people’s health and wellbeing
- Encouraging young people to reach their full potential
