Sainsbury's Active Kids Paralympic Challenge

Inspiring schools and young people to learn and take part in Paralympic Sports

The Sainsbury’s Active Kids Paralympic Challenge is a partnership between Sainsbury’s, the Youth Sport Trust and the British Paralympic Association.

Since November 2015, it has created the opportunity for over 2.5 million young people in schools and communities across the country to be inspired by Paralympic sport in the lead up to Rio 2016.

The Active Kids Paralympic Challenges are inclusive games in athletics, boccia, goalball and sitting volleyball, that encourage young people to strive to beat their own scores, individually or in small teams.

Throughout the programme, 16 Active Kids Sports Challenge resources were released.  These challenges have been developed to maximise the learning outcomes in relation to the national curriculum programme of study and will support the objectives of the Government’s Primary PE and Sport Premium.
