Using PE to raise attainment levels
This case study looks at a school that raised achievement by developing the self-esteem and confidence of pupils through engagement in a wider range of activities.
Using PE to improve attendance
This school devised a questionnaire for all pupils, but specifically targeted the poor attendees, asking them what physical activity they would like to see in school. The results showed that the majority wanted to take part, especially if it incorporated activities which they were interested in.
Effective practice in secondary PE (Key Stage 4)
To gain an understanding of the school’s impact on learning at Key Stage 4, we provided students with questionnaires that gauged their enjoyment of Physical Education.
