Radzi ChinyanganyaYST Radzi Chinyanganya
Radzi is a seasoned TV presenter and is passionate about creating a world where all children and young people move more. He was a presenter for BBC children’s programme Blue Peter, and now commentates major sporting events for the likes of Sky Sports, BBC Sport and Channel 5. Radzi covered the 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha and also reports on the London Marathon and WWE backstage.
His first passion is using his voice to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity for young people’s physical and mental wellbeing. Radzi has supported the YST as an Ambassador since 2017.
A world without sport would be a really sad place and one that I wouldn’t want to be a part of. I support the work of the Youth Sport Trust because growing up in a world without sport would be awful. Sport gives you so many things, whether you watch it, whether you participate in it, the feeling it gives you from an endorphin level, the concentration levels in school, the fact that it raises your health and fitness. There are so many things that this one thing can give you that without it I think that the world would be unimaginable.
What's Radzi working on?
Radzi supports the YST’s work to engage more children in physical activity and helps raise awareness of its Movement Assessment Tool and research. He has supported the charity with fundraising through guest appearances on popular TV show Pointless and also championing its National School Sport Week.
