FA - B1 Project

Project B1 has been created to help schools engage more visually impaired and blind young people in football.

Description

  • Project B1 is available for secondary aged educational establishments with who have young people in their school with visual impairments. The programmes aims are to:Increase the number of young people with a visual impairment/blind accessing appropriate competition.
  • Provide schools with access to resources, equipment and training that will help remove barriers to young people accessing appropriate competition.
  • Raise awareness to the education sector of this small sided offer and provide appropriate signposting to support young people to transition into community offers.

As part of the programme you will introduce visually impaired and blind young people to competition through a positive experience. You will deliver informal game sessions prior to introducing competition to build players confidence and competence and ensure players are comfortable with the fundamental movements required.
