Boys Move 2023/24

Boys Move is a professional development programme designed to equip educators with the principles of how to use sport and play to address the mental health and behaviour issues of adolescent boys, improve their wellbeing, and engage them with school.

Description

What's involved: Schools selected to participate in this programme will nominate a lead member of staff who will work with us to understand the challenges to boys' mental health and wellbeing, the principles of engagement, and how to design their own project which addresses the needs of boys in their school.

Outcomes: Schools will receive an improved understanding of the challenges within their school and how to tackle them. We will work with you to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the boys in your school, increase engagement with PE, sport and physical activity, and through this improve engagement with learning and school life.

For your school to take part in this programme you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Secondary school
  • Based in England
  • IMD Decile 1-5

Duration: This programme takes place between January - July 2024. The deadline for expressions of interest is 22 December 2023.
