This workshop covers the rationale and importance of schools incorporating 30 minutes of physical activity into the school day for every child. With clear evidence on how physical activity impact on children’s wellbeing and achievement we will explore the science, strategies and practicalities of delivering this and how the new YST Active 30:30 Tri resource can provide a simple solution.

All of these workshops will provide delegates with evidence based good practice with examples that can help schools to maximise the investment and create a sustainable legacy. Delegates will be asked to provide their whole school priorities and how to date the investment has supported those whole school outcomes.
Using personal development, behaviour and welfare to impact on whole school priorities
This workshop will aim to give you the tools needed to show senior leaders the positive contribution PE, physical activity and school sport can make to children and young people within the school environment and the links to the Ofsted framework.
Changing behaviours and perceptions to ensure emotional and physical health and wellbeing
This workshop will aim to provide you with the opportunity to reflect upon your ‘sphere of influence’. It will help you develop the knowledge and understanding to positively change behaviours in others to create an environment where pupil’s health and wellbeing is at the forefront.
Youth Sport Trust Quality Mark, how to use the self-review tool effectively to support PE and Sport Premium Outcomes
This workshop will support teachers to use the YST online self-review tool to audit the school’s PE provision and identify priorities for the school development plan. The Quality Mark provides schools with a nationally recognised badge of excellence for PE and school sport and the tool has been aligned to Ofsted guidance supporting the PE and Sport Premium.
Role of the School Governor in maximising the impact of the Primary PE and Sport Premium
This workshop aims to give primary Governors information and advice about how to maximise the impact of the Government primary investment in PE and school sport. This workshop will explore how to ensure high quality PE is offered to all students and why it should be the entitlement of every child. It will also expand on accountability measures and pose key questions for Governors to consider.
