These three workshops will provide teachers will best practice examples that will help them to maximise the investment and create a sustainable legacy. Delegates will be asked to provide their whole school priorities and how to date the investment has supported those whole school outcomes.
Youth Sport Trust Quality Mark – how to use the self-review tool effectively to support Primary PE and Sport Premium outcomes
Supports teachers to use the YST online self-review tool to audit the school’s PE provision and identify priorities for the school development plan. The Quality Mark provides schools with a nationally recognised badge of excellence for PE and school sport and the tool has been aligned to Ofsted guidance supporting the PE and Sport Premium.
Role of the school governor in maximising the impact of the Primary PE and Sport Premium
Aims to give primary Governors information and advice about how to maximise the impact of the government primary investment in PE and school sport. This workshop will explore how to ensure high quality PE is offered to all students and why it should be the entitlement of every child. It will also expand on accountability measures and pose key questions for Governors to consider.
Early years and Key Stage 1 PE, school sport and physical activity – the crucial stages in developing healthy, happy and successful young people
Aims to give PE coordinators and practitioners support in planning an appropriate and challenging 4-7 years PE curriculum that meets the needs of all their learners by a stage not age approach and where physical activity and school sport can support this.
Key Stage 2 PE, school sport and physical activity — developing healthy, happy, successful and independent young people
Aims to give PE coordinators and practitioners support in planning an appropriate and challenging 7-11 years physical education curriculum that meets the needs of all their learners by a stage not age approach and where physical activity and school sport can support this.
These workshops are available to YST Member Schools and at the discounted price of £175.00 for Cluster Coordinators at the point of sign-up - after this point the cost is £225.00.
