Urgent Action: Cost of living support for schools to keep young people active

We are deeply concerned about the cost-of-living crisis compounding the already significant impact of COVID-19 on young people’s health and happiness. We want to support schools to do what they can in such challenging times.

The Youth Sport Trust Annual Conference 2023: The power of PE, sport and play to improve mental health will offer us a chance to collaborate on the challenges facing our young people. For more information about Conference, please click here.

Active in Mind is a targeted programme for young people with mental wellbeing issues in secondary schools. It supports young people to transform their mindset through physical activity, peer and athlete mentoring.

In support of Children’s Mental Health Week, the Youth Sport Trust is offering secondary schools in England the opportunity to sign up to this programme and training for free. There are two offers schools can apply for. To find out more about them and the accompanying free resources, please click here.
