Developing school sport and youth volunteering in Estonia
Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and the Archimedes Foundation, this project is running from 2016 to 2018 with the aim of developing and improving school sport and youth volunteering in Estonia. We do this by knowledge transfer and utilising and sharing projects and programmes from the UK with our Estonian colleagues.
International Inspiration is the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic legacy programme and was managed by UK Sport, British Council and UNICEF with the Youth Sport Trust providing expert delivery of PE and school sport elements of the programme. Youth Sport Trust provided both TOPs and Young Sports Leader Training to all 20 countries involved in the International Inspiration programme. As a result, 460,000 sports festivals have taken place in Brazil ran by trained sports leaders, 45,000 children benefited from high quality PE, sport and play in Jordan, girls participated increase in Egypt and 1,008,000 young people were reached through PE and sport in Pakistan.
Anyone who has been trained through one of our programmes has the chance to join our alumni network, YST Connect. Here they can share experiences, have an insight into projects happening across the globe and learn about potential opportunities and awards in their home countries. Join the community
