Young Ambassadors is designed to build the leadership skills of young people and as a result they are empowered to take on the following roles:
- Be the youth voice for PE and school sport in their school and community
- Promote the positive values of sport
- Be a role model and champion for PE and school sport
- Increase participation opportunities and healthy lifestyles for everyone
Currently in England Young Ambassadors are developed locally by SGOs and schools. In Wales and Scotland national training is available and further information can be found below:

National Leadership Academy
Delivered in partnership with Sport Wales, the National Leadership Academy provides an opportunity for Platinum Young Ambassadors and other exceptional young leaders across Wales to come together and experience tailored leadership training workshops.
It’s honestly hard to sum up into words how much the NLA has taught me. From Learning and developing an extensive range of skills in workshops e.g. presentation skills, communication, networking and many more, to the exceptional long term friendships I’ve made.
