Send your nominations for the BBC Unsung Hero Award 2019

Do you know a volunteer or individual who has worked tirelessly in support of school and/or youth sport? If so, then you can get them the recognition they deserve this December!

The BBC are working alongside Made By Sport to recognise the power of sport to change lives and build better futures – a cause close to our hearts here at the Youth Sport Trust. We’re backing their quest to celebrate the people and projects that are really making an impact and you can nominate someone that you work with via the BBC website.

Nominations can be submitted in one of two ways – as a written piece, maximum 800 words, or as a video, which can be up to two minutes long. The deadline for nominations to be submitted is 23:59 on Sunday 20 October 2019.

The eventual winner of the award is announced at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards which this year takes place on Sunday 15 December. Last December, Kirsty Ewen was revealed as the winner, receiving her award on the night from Olympic great Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill.
