ESPO and Youth Sport Trust announce Active Schools Partnership

The Youth Sport Trust and ESPO have announced an Active Schools Partnership, through which they will be championing the benefits of being an active school

The Youth Sport Trust and ESPO have announced an Active Schools Partnership, through which they will be championing the benefits of being an active school.

Specialists in education procurement, ESPO have been providing procurement solutions for schools and academies for over 35 years. Its one-stop shop includes a leading product catalogue, over 150 framework solutions and bespoke support and advice.

The partnership aims to help schools maximize the benefit of their funding, by providing tailored suggestions for equipment, resources and training – which collectively will increase physical activity and wellbeing within their school, and ultimately improve young people’s lives.

ESPO and Youth Sport Trust will work together to provide ESPO customers and Youth Sport Trust members exclusive access to guidance about being an active school, providing solutions to challenges and opportunities over the coming school year. Schools will have the opportunity to win termly prizes, including athlete mentor visits and product bundles, enter into a points scheme with ESPO where by points earned can be redeemed on PE and sports equipment and ESPO will also be providing over 500 schools with free YST Level 1 membership for the 2017/18 academic year as an additional incentive to get involved.

Alison Oliver, Chief Executive of the Youth Sport Trust says:

This partnership will provide schools with the best breadth and depth of solutions, equipment and training access which all contribute to an Active School. We are delighted to be working closely with ESPO to offer more integrated solutions to fit with schools’ individual needs.

Speaking about the partnership, John Doherty, ESPO Director said:

As a fellow public sector organisation we understand the pressures faced by schools and are always looking for new and innovative ways to deliver added value to our customers. Through working with Youth Sport Trust we are excited to launch the Active Schools Partnership and help schools access free resources and rewards to help champion the benefits of an Active School.
