Swim England is pleased to be backing this year’s National School Sport Week. Swimming, which is part of the national curriculum, is a fantastic way for all children to become more active and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. As well as that, learning to swim at school sets children up for a lifetime of enjoying the water safely with friends and family. I hope National School Sport Week will remind primary schools of the importance of ensuring that every child is leaving their school able to have fun and enjoy the water safely.
