Kimberly WyattYST Kimberly Wyatt
Grammy nominated artist Kimberly Wyatt has sold over 55 million records worldwide. She has reached pop success all over the world touring with one of the biggest selling girl groups of all time, the Pussycat Dolls, who released two albums between 2003 and 2010. Since then Kimberly has worked on a number of projects including Sky1’s dance show, Got to Dance, alongside Ashley Banjo and Adam Garcia, as well as competing on Celebrity MasterChef, which she won in 2015.
Kimberly is extremely passionate about talking to young people who lack the confidence to get active. Because her aspirations have such a natural fit with our work, she became an ambassador at the end of 2015, and has since continued to work with us to promote physical activity, particularly within primary schools, to encourage more young people to get active.
Kids decide how they feel about their bodies between the ages of 6-8 and this choice lasts the rest of their lives. I passionately believe in the power of dance and physical activity to give every girl the best chance possible at a happy and fulfilled life and our duty is to do what we can.
What's Kimberly working on?
Kimberly’s passion for movement and dance led her to work with the YST and in 2014 she delivered a pilot programme for primary school aged children with the charity called Well-Fit. By understanding the crucial link between physical activity to improve body image, self-esteem and build social connectedness, Kimberly is helping the YST to put across this powerful message by speaking at its events, in schools and in the media.
