HSBC UK Ready Set Ride

YST HSBC UK Ready Set Ride
HSBC UK, British Cycling and the Youth Sport Trust want to bring cycling to new generations by empowering families and school communities to help children learn to ride a bike.

National children’s charity, the Youth Sport Trust, has been commissioned by British Cycling and HSBC UK to design resources to help children to learn to ride. Using an activity pack, online video resources and app, parents, teachers and child carers are supported to teach children the essential skills to ride a bike while having fun playing together.

Ali Oliver, Chief Executive of the Youth Sport Trust, said:

The ambition of this programme is for everyone in Britain to choose HSBC UK Ready Set Ride as the best way to teach a child to ride a bike.

We are proud to be working in partnership with British Cycling and HSBC UK to make this a reality and look forward to sharing the programme with schools and families across the UK.

Using its knowledge of children’s psychological and physical development, the Youth Sport Trust has guided the development and implementation of HSBC UK Ready Set Ride into schools. The programme has been implemented in more that 500 schools across the UK during 2018 with a further roll out anticipated in 2019.
