Active Play Through Storytelling
The FA Active Play Through Storytelling training course and supporting resources have been developed to support ‘the beginner girl’ aged five to eight in developing their physical competency and speaking and listening skills through the medium of creative play and storytelling.
This course is for staff who support break and lunch time play in infant and primary schools. This can be teachers, teaching assistants, lunchtime supervisors or other support staff. Teachers can also cascade to playground leaders.
It is a free 3-hour face to face CPD opportunity for primary school staff to access new, creative and fun resources to help develop five-to-eight-year-old girls to become more engaged and inspired to participate in physical activity. With a ‘take home’ resource for each girl, parents and carers can embed the activities within the setting and home environment, supporting the recommended daily target of 60 active minutes of play per day.
