Fixed term contract for School Sport Co-ordinator at
Little Lever School Specialist Language College
plus associated primary schools
MPS + TLR (maximum TLR 2)
Required from 1st September 2008 until 31st August 2011
This is a dynamic role working for Little Lever School Specialist Language College and their five primary link schools in the Thornleigh School Sport Partnership. The post is a 0.4 appointment, however a full time position may become available.
As a successful candidate you will co-ordinate activities across the family of schools as well as the opportunity to lead on specific programmes across the Partnership. In addition you will play a valuable role in key stage 2/3 transition and raising standards and participation, particularly at Key Stage 4. With a teaching responsibility, you will show a real commitment to high quality curricular as well as out-of-hours learning opportunities for all young people
An ability to create new and alternative opportunities to engage young people in to sport and physical activity will be a strength and managing programmes of activity would be advantageous as a number of externally funded projects are currently underway.
You will be part of a successful and enthusiastic School Sport Partnership team that works cohesively with another local School Sport Partnership. You will therefore be a team player as well as self motivated, flexible and able to manage your time effectively.
