PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Salary: OIR £35,000
Fixed Term contract until March 2011

From September 2008 we are seeking a full time experienced, innovative and committed PE & Sport enthusiast, ideally with a teaching background, for the role of Partnership Development Manager, who can provide inspired leadership and management for the Durham City School Sport Partnership.  The partnership consists of 6 secondary schools, 46 primary schools, 2 special schools and 3 independent schools.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of SSCOs. PLTs, Senior Competition Manager, Sports Development Officers, Community Sports Coaches, and a range of part time coaches to ensure that the Partnership objectives are met.

Applications are sought from subject specialists or those who have a good knowledge of PE across all key stages who are educated to degree level or equivalent and have at least 4 years teaching/sport development/management experience.  The successful candidate will have a real commitment to developing curricular and out of school learning opportunities in PE/Sport for young people; will have a sound knowledge of PE and sport in primary, special and secondary schools; excellent leadership, management, motivational and communication skills; and understand the concept of learning through PE & Sport.
