COMPETITION MANAGER
NJC Scale 7 Point 30 - £24,545 per annum
37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year
Three year fixed term contract until 31st March 2011, renewable subject to DCSF funding
Required as soon as possible a Competition Manager who will be based at Roade School Sports College, covering South Northants, Daventry and Northampton Town.
We require a committed Education /PE/ Sport Professional to manage and coordinate the planning and implementation of competitive programmes within School Sport Partnerships using the National Competition Framework for young people as the basis.
The successful candidate will work towards ensuring the competition programme across a number of schools is effectively linked with other strands of the PESSCL strategy and other relevant national programmes and be able to link with relevant agencies to ensure that the competitions structure is sustainable and successful.
The applicant will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have at least two years experience of either sports development work or teaching and will also have knowledge and experience of the School Sports Partnerships, sports development planning, implementation of project management and event planning and organisation.
The duties of this job require you to travel throughout an operational area, therefore a valid driving licence and use of car is essential.
