As the 2008 UK School Games in Bristol and Bath draws closer, it has been announced that a brand new UK School Games e-zine is to be introduced in the build-up to the games.
In conjunction with the relaunch of the UK School Games website, this e-zine will bring the latest news and information to all of its subscribers, highlighting key events and announcements along the way.
With the introduction of hockey as the ninth sport in the competitive programme this will be the largest UK School Games yet with almost 1500 of our country’s elite young athletes competing. They will be supported by a team of locally recruited Young Volunteers and Young Ambassadors, and for the first time this year a group of specially trained Young Officials will assist in all of the sports.
The Official School Supporters Programme was recently launched by Jason Gardener with a teacher’s day for over 40 local schools. The Bristol and Bath UK School Games promises to impact on a record number of young people in the host city, and across the UK as the Youth Sport Trust works with National Governing Bodies of Sport to develop competitive opportunities for all young people.
Subscribing to the e-zine is easy and can be done via: www.ukschoolgames.com
