As the doors closed at the Telford International Conference Centre, delegates of the Sports Colleges Conference 2007 were left to reflect on the most memorable conference yet.
With an exceptional line-up of speakers including, Prime Minister, Tony Blair, double Olympic gold medal winner, Dame Kelly Holmes; Justin King, Chief Executive of Sainsbury’s; Alan Johnson MP, the Secretary of State for Education and Skills; Li Cunxin, one of the world’s best male ballet dancers and Marc Woods, Paralympic, World and European Championship medal winner, the 2007 Conference has been a huge success.
The two-day event, held at the Telford International Conference Centre on 1st and 2nd February was aimed at representatives from sports colleges, academies with a specialism in sport, and local education authorities.
