We are delighted to announce the launch of the Innovation Awards 2008 for Sports Colleges and Academies with sport-related specialisms.
These awards are made in recognition of the high quality innovative work which is taking place in Sports Colleges and Academies with sport-related specialisms across the country.
There are 10 categories of award this year, focusing on different areas of innovation, each with a supporting partner and a fantastic prize. The winning and highly commended schools will be announced at the Sports Colleges Conference gala dinner on 31 January.
For a second year running Dame Kelly Holmes is fronting these awards,
“The Innovation Awards are a fantastic way to recognise all the groundbreaking work which is taking place in Sports Colleges and Academies with sport-related specialisms.
In my role as National School Sport Champion, I am always excited to hear about the innovative activity taking place in schools to encourage more young people to take part in PE and sport, and I am therefore delighted to be supporting the Innovation Awards for the second year running.
I hope many young people have already benefited from the developments currently taking place in school sport that are recognised by these Awards and that many more will do so in the future.”
