The government has announced plans for a Olympic and Paralympic-style school sports competition structure that will further enhance the competitive sporting opportunities that are available to young people at school.
The joint announcement from the Department for Education (DfE) and Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) includes a four tier competition structure that will see a range of new of inter and intra school competitions, regional multi-sport festivals and a new national Olympic-style competition created.
