Gail and mixed doubles partner Nathan Robertson are the most successful Great Britain badminton partnership ever. In 2004 they reached the final of the Olympic Games in Athens, narrowly losing to the Chinese pair but taking the silver medal. Gail then went on to win gold with Nathan in the World Championships in 2006, gold in the Commonwealth Games in 2006 and European titles both in the mixed and ladies doubles.
A former junior International, Gail made the successful transition to senior level, winning nine National titles, the All England and 68 caps for her country along the way.
Gail retired from professional sport after the 2008 Olympic Games and now works with the Youth Sport Trust as a ChangingLIVES athlete mentor on initiatives such as Sky Sports Living for Sport.
