Believe to Achieve is a campaign to inspire and support the rising young stars of British Sport to make the most of their talent and succeed at the highest level.
Supporting talented young sportspeople is not just about medals. It is about creating the heroes that will inspire future generations to live their dreams and enjoy healthier, more active lives.
- Believe to Achieve targets support towards squads and hotspots of talent where young athletes are working collaboratively with exceptional coaches; challenging and supporting each other to succeed. It costs between £5,000 and £15,000 to support a talented squad. This gives them the ability to buy equipment and fund travel, training and competition costs.
- Believe to Achieve provides financial and training support to the next generation of talented young coaches, ensuring that our future athletes are given the best technical and practical guidance. The initial training and support required to develop future elite coaches costs approximately £1,000 per coach.
- Believe to Achieve inspires talented young sportspeople by giving them the opportunity to work with elite level mentors. These mentors pass on their knowledge and insights – reinforcing the message that you need to Believe to Achieve but success only comes with hard work, determination and support.
In the run-up to 2012, there has never been a better opportunity for companies and individuals to get involved with Youth Sport; supporting young athletes with real sporting promise. By backing the Believe to Achieve campaign, supporters:
- Help talented young people to maximise their potential and develop into champions who will inspire future generations.
- Help to ensure that, beyond 2012, talented young sportspeople continue to be given the support and guidance necessary to succeed at the highest level.
- receive regular updates on the progress of young people supported through Believe to Achieve.
