National Council for School Sport
The National Council for School Sport (NCSS) - an umbrella body for national school sports associations - is playing a leading role in the development a national competition framework for young people. The delivery of this framework will be co-ordinated by competition managers, supported by the Youth Sport Trust, in School Sport Partnerships.

Sporting Champions
Sporting Champions brings World Class Athletes into schools and local communities to inspire and motivate young people to take part in sport.
The scheme consists of an annual programme of 450 visits, made by Sporting Champions working in teams on a regional basis. Visits are currently centered through the School Sport Partnership network.

We work with regional bodies to ensure effective connections and co-ordination between the work of the Youth Sport Trust and the priorities of each home nation Sports Council, positioning and developing our programmes in the unique contexts of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

National governing bodies of sport (NGBs)
The Youth Sport Trust supports NGBs to help them work effectively with the network of School Sport Partnerships - particularly in the development of high quality school club links, young volunteer placements and local co-ordination of programmes.
The Youth Sport Trust also acts as a ‘critical friend’ to NGBs developing resources for schools and advises on the most effective approaches to working with the education sector. We work with the following NGBs:
