New global education programme offers funding and CPD

This week saw the launch of the new Connecting Classrooms global education programme for schools.

Funded by the British Council and DFID, Connecting Classrooms is designed to help young people learn about global issues and become responsible global citizens, as well as giving them the skills to work in a global economy.

The programme offers school partnerships; professional development courses for teachers; accreditation; and the chance to share best practice with international counterparts. Connecting Classrooms will bring together the best elements of past programmes managed by the British Council and DFID to provide a simplified and enhanced global education programme for schools.

Want to get involved?  Apply now for funding for school partnerships before the deadline of 20 July 2012, or take one of the online CPD courses.
